The man behind Alpine MTB Training
Athlete Profiles, June 24, 2020
I am Chris, the guy behind Alpine MTB Training. I don’t normally talk or brag about about myself. I figured I would write this so those who are curious can learn about who I am.
Hi!
So... Who am I?...
I am a Dad, Husband, mountain biker, hockey player, Athletic Therapist, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Mentor…
I could go on, but I can’t find a way to define myself with one title. I am many things depending on the situation and environment. My past experiences have molded me into who I am today.
First and foremost, I am a father to my 2 sons, Keegan and Cohen. Husband to my Wife, Adrian. Son to my parents. Brother to my brother.

Mountain biking has been a passion of mine as an adult. It is way to challenge myself in a self directed way that team sports are not able to. It is an escape to clear my mind. It has led to many friendships sharing the shred with like minded people. It has blended with my career by training myself to improve as a MTBer.
I have worked with many high level athletes throughout my career. Instead of typing a long list of teams I have worked with, check the picture to the left. I have gained in measurable knowledge and wisdom working with athletes who have 'made it' or who were on the verge of making it into the big leagues. A common variable amongst these athletes is a passion and desire for their sport. Plus a willingness to plan, focus, evaluate and act on whatever they saw necessary to take steps towards reaching their goals. I have been a mentor/coach to these athletes and even viewed myself as a mentee/student to these athletes since they displayed such amazing levels of dedication to 'living the dream'.
I have had many challenges, struggles and successes progressing from a beginner to an advanced mountain biker. I have been my own guinea pig on how to train for mountain biking. I have gone through the suffering of riding myself into shape after a sedentary winter. I have over come old nagging injuries that have slowed me down on the bike and in the gym. I have experienced all of the frustrations and joy that come with over coming hurdles as a mountain biker.
Through Alpine MTB Training, I want to translate my professional and personal experiences into helping mountain bikers just like me.
Yours Truly,
Chris Linder
